| Description | Domestic guineafowl was domesticated from wild helmeted guineafowl (Numida meleagris) in Africa. To investigate its genetic diversity and domestication history, we conduct this project. Our goals include: (1) to provide the reference genome draft for domestic guineafowl; (2) to resequence the genomes for two outgroup species (Guttera pucherani and Acryllium vulturinum); (3) to depict the genomic diversity of wild and domestic helmeted guineafowl populations. | ||||||||||||
