Exosomal small RNA sequencing
Organisms Homo sapiens
Description Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer morbidity and mortality. A majority of lung cancer is often asymptomatic until advanced or metastatic stage, which is a giant obstacle of lung cancer therapy. This project expect to find the early diagnostic biomarker of lung adenocarcinoma in circulating exosomal miRNAs by a noninvasive method. The blood samples of this project were provided by Peking Union Medical College Hospital (Beijing, china). The total number samples is 21 including 7 lung adenocarcinoma patients (paired) and 7 health controls. Two blood samples from each lung adenocarcinoma patient were collected at the point of pre-operation and post-operation separately. Circulating exosomal RNA in blood was extracted to construct small RNA library using the NEBNext Multiplex Small RNA Library Prep Set for Illumina. The next-generation sequence are performed on illumina HiSeq 2500 System and 50bp single-end reads were generated.
