| Description |
Jingu21 is an elite variety widely cultivated in North China for its good grain quality and high yield. We constructed an EMS-mutagenized library using Jingu21 and identified an extremly short life cycle mini-mutant (dubbed Xiaomi) . To gain an insight into the molecular network underling early flowering in Xiaomi, We re-sequenced the Xiaomi and Jingu21 genome and attempted to identify the causal mutation responsible for the reduced stature and rapid cycling by genome comparison. |
