Title Effect of crop rotation combined with short-term fallow on soil bacteria diversity
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Raw sequence reads
Organisms Bacteria
Description Degradation of farmland soil quality had caused great losses to agriculture. The scientific farming system was necessary for soil quality restoration. Consecutive years of planting resulted in a decrease in soil fertility and a lower crop yield. Therefore, rotation combined with short-term fallow was necessary, especially for oilseed rape, which was an important crop in the Western foot of Daxing'an Mountains, Inner Mongolia, China. In this study, 16S RNAs were sequenced to reveal the bacteria diversity and community structure under different farming systems.
