Description |
Alkaligrass (Puccinellia tenuiflora) is a monocotyledonous halophytic forage grass widely distributed in the Songnen Plain in Northeastern China, which belongs to Gramineae and shares a close genetic relationship with cereal crops such as rice and barley. Here, we present a high-quality chromosome-level diploid genome assembly of P. tenuiflora (2n = 14) with contig N50 size of 1.46 Mb. The genomic resources should empower researchers to better understand alkali tolerance of monocotyledonous plants. |
