Title Hepatic transcriptome from prepartum to postpartum in dairy cows
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Raw sequence reads
Organisms Bos taurus
Description The transition period (also called the periparturient period) is the most challenging stage of the lactation cycle. Liver plays the key role in controlling and regulating the metabolic adaptation during transition. However, the comprehensive adaptation changes of liver during transition period is still need to be illustrated. To comprehensively expound the adaptive changes of liver during transition period, liver biopsies were conducted twice on 20 transition cows at average 7d before calving and average 16d after calving. Transcriptome profile of the liver samples were detected using RNAseq.
