Title Effect of Migration on Oral and Intestinal Flora of Tibetans with Particular Genetic Background
Relevance Medical
Data types Raw sequence reads
Organisms human gut metagenome
Description Diet, environment, and genomic context exert a significant impact on the oral and gut microbiota of humans. Migration may be accompanied by changes in human eating habits and living environment, then could affecting oral and gut flora. To understand the association of oral microbiota, gut microbiota and migration, we collected saliva samples and stool samples from 92 Tibetans migrating from Tibet to Xianyang in three times, namely within seven days (TS1st, TF1st), six months later (TS2nd, TF2nd), and one year later (TS3td, TF3td), and compared the diversity and richness of oral and intestinal microbiota.
