Title Ancient genomic DNA evidence reveal tropical bovid species inhabited in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau ~5,200 years ago
Relevance Evolution
Data types Whole genome sequencing
Organisms Bos gaurus
Bos frontalis
Bos indicus
Dicerorhinus sumatrensis
Description Our results revealed that the wild bovids distributed in the NETP at the late Neolithic were the currently tropical Bos gaurus, which pushes the northernmost latitude of gaur distribution from ~29°N to ~34°N.
Sample scope Multispecies
