Melatonin is a well-known bio-active molecule that has several important functions in plants. Both melatonin and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), the most natural forms of auxin, are derived from tryptophan. What is the relationship between melatonin and auxin? This is the most interesting and unsolved puzzle in melatonin research. In the present study, we performed transcriptome analysis with a time series method to disclose the connection of the two metabolites in soybean. |
