Description The incidences of adenocarcinoma at the gastroesophageal junction (ACGEJ) are rapidly increasing worldwide in the past few decades. This disease has a dismal 5-year survival rate and lacks specific and effective treatment options. It is thus urgent to apprehend the molecular characteristics of ACGEJ that can serve as potential drug targets and/or prognostic indicators. We have collected biospecimen and clinical information from 124 Chinese ACGEJ patients and generated matched whole-genome and transcriptome sequencing data. Using these data and additional functional experiments on ACGEJ cell lines, we propose to conduct comprehensive genomic and transcriptomic profiling of ACGEJ in Chinese patients.
