Title Comparative transcriptomics analysis reveals variable responses to brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens in different rice cultivars
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Oryza sativa
Description Rice is an indispensable crop in East and Southeast Asia, and the study of its biological characteristics has important values. We have observed that different s of rice have different resistance to brown planthoppers, and this phenomenon is valuable for studying rice gene resistance to brown planthopper. In this study, we introduce the transcriptomic analysis of rice s with variable resistance to brown planthopper: 1) Extensive similarities and differences in brown planthopper resistance in three rice cultivars ; 2) Different cultivars of rice differ in signal transmission; 3) Differences between brown planthopper damage and physical simulation, reflecting the possibility of chemical induction.
