Title The relationship between lower respiratory tract microbiome and allergic respiratory tract diseases in children
Relevance Medical
Data types Metagenome
Organisms Bacteria
Description With the development of sequencing technologies, it has been found that there are microbes similar with the upper respiratory tract in the healthy human low respiratory tract, including lungs and bronchus. For the study of children's lower respiratory microbiome and the relationship between allergic respiratory diseases, we choose 68 children, who were in the respiratory department of hospital affiliated to the capital institute of pediatrics and processed bronchoscope. Using the total IgE (TIgE) values, children can be divided into two groups, one group of 34 cases of allergy (allergy sensitivity, AS), 34 cases of no allergy (no allergy sensitivity, NAS). Nucleic acid was extracted from the samples of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) taken by bronchoscopy treatment, and then 16S rRNA gene was sequenced and analyzed.
