Description Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) impairs embryo development and offspring health; however, whether compromised oocyte quality is an independent reason remains undetermined. Our findings may provide a foundation for further studies of the pathways involved in the transgenerational inheritance and familial aggregation of PCOS.
