Title Surveillance and whole genome sequencing of Human Norovirus and other Foodborne viruses from inbound passengers monitored by Shanghai Customs China during 2018
Relevance Medical
Data types Whole genome sequencing
Genome sequencing and assembly
Raw sequence reads
Organisms Norovirus
Description Epidemiological investigation was conducted by Shanghai Customs in 2018 according to the passengers self-reported gastrointestinal symptoms. Laboratory-confirmed norovirus-positive samples were further sequenced by NGS aiming at whole viral genome obtaining, laid the foundation for norovirus genotyping, tracking and tracing analyses. Sequences obtained in this study recorded the pattern of norovirus cross-broad transmission, provided more genome information for norovirus database.
