At present, molecular breeding technology has become an important approach of poultry breeding, but scarce genetic resources hinder the advancements of this field. Acquisition of a high-quality draft genome for goose is of great significance to promote genome-wide studies and variety improvement at the molecular level. We aimed to generated a chromosome-level reference genome of goose for functional genetic research and goose breeding. |
