We present detailed analyses of DNA methylome profiles of male and female flowers at pre-meiotic and meiotic stages to investigate the differences in methylation and transcriptional landscapes of male and female garden asparagus. . These results provide insights into the epigenetic modification of sexual differentiation and flower development in garden asparagus and lay a foundation for future investigation of the sex chromosome evolution in this dioecious plant. |
