Description |
Groupers include more than 160 species in 16 genera, among of them, approximate 47 grouper species have been cultured. The huge market demand promotes the development of grouper industry, which has become the second-highest productive marine fish species in aquaculture of China. As the long growth periods, breeding population of groupers is hard to construct. So far, there was no any backcross grouper population for breeding researches. In the experiment, we obtained fertile hybrid grouper hatched from E. fuscoguttatus and E. lanceolatus and firstly constructed the interspecific backcross grouper using female E. fuscoguttatus and the hybrid grouper. |
