Description Rice bacterial blight is one of the most destructive bacterial diseases of rice worldwide and a model for studying bacterium-plant interactions. Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) is the causal bacterium of rice bacterial blight. Based on next generation sequencing technique, we present here the complete sequence of representative Xoo strains, including Chinese strains and eight Philippines strains.
