Title Differential mRNA and miRNA profiles reveal the potential roles of genes and miRNAs involved in lps infection in chicken macrophages
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Gallus gallus
Description To understand the vital role of miRNA in the host response to bacterial infection in chicken. We used the lipopolysaccharide from E. coli serotype enteritis to stimulate chicken macrophages (HD11) to establish a bacterial infection model. When HD11 cells were grown to 80-90% density in 10 cm cell culture dishes, we added 100 ng/ml LPS from E. coli to stimulate the cells in vitro for 6h before extracting total RNA. LPS-stimulated HD11 cells (L) and unstimulated HD11 cells (C) were harvested. Each group had five biological replicates.
