描述信息 With marvelous diversity, Orchidaceae constitutes the largest family of angiosperms. The genus Cymbidium in Orchidaceae is well known for its unique traits in vegetation, floral morphology, flower colour and scent. Here, we present a chromosome-scale assembly of the genome of Jianlan, i.e. Cymbidium ensifolium. Sequencing the genome of C. ensifolium allows us to understand the key innovations in the evolution of Cymbidium and provides novel and fundamental insights into the evolution and diversification of orchids.
