描述信息 Plant rhizosphere is the bridge of interaction between microorganisms and host plants, and many factors including soil type, genotype and developmental stage can affect the composition of plant rhizosphere microbial community. In this study, two cucumber varieties as cultivated cucumber Xintaimici (XT) and wild-type cucumber Hardwickii (HD) were grown on four different kinds of soil. Culture-independent 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing showed that soil, developmental stage and genotype all had impacts on the composition of cucumber rhizosphere bacterial communities. Interestingly, although HD generally exhibits smaller plant architecture than cultivated cucumber, we showed that HD achieved much better physiological potential in sandy and sandy loam soils compared with XT at 50 day after sowing due to different rhizosphere microbial composition. This might be due to its stronger recruitment ability to Nitrospira, Nocardioides, Bacillus, Tumebacillus and Paenibacillus than XT. These bacteria could enhance the nitrogen absorption and utilization efficiencies and increase the abiotic stress resistant capability of cucumber. Our findings in this study established the relationships among cucumber phenotype, genotype and rhizosphere bacterial community, which will provide valuable theoretical references for rhizosphere microbiota studies, and its application in agriculture.
