Phytophthora capsici (P. capsici), one of notorious Phytophthora with a wide range of hosts, is a huge threat to pepper production worldwide. Although China has been the world's largest producer and consumer of pepper, the detailed genetic structure of P. capsici in most Chinese provinces is unknown. A full set of pleomorphic SSR markers, which polished by resequnced genome information, is essential for future research about epidemiology and population of P. capsici. Here, 10 isolates of P. capsici, from southwest China, were resequenced for development of SSR loci and population genetic analysis in future. |
