Title ASD gut metagenome/meta-transcriptome Raw sequence reads
Relevance Gut microbiome
Data types Metagenome
Organisms human gut metagenome
Description Cumulative evidences suggest that gut microbiota and its metabolites play an important role in GI disorders and the pathogenesis of Autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, because of highly heterogeneous research strategies, these studies yield inconsistent findings. The unique microbial pattern of ASD and underlying mechanisms of which the microbes contribute to ASD etiology are still unclear. Here, we constructed the largest metagenomic dataset of gut microbiota form Chinese children with ASD, combining metatranscriptomic and longitudinal studies, to investigate the role of gut microbiota in ASD robustly.
