Liver fibrosis has the potential to progress into liver cirrhosis and even cancer. Presently, no effective drug has been approved for the treatment of liver fibrosis. Herein, tyrosine kinase receptor B (TrkB) is disclosed as a negative regulator via interfering with TGFβ/SMADs pathway, providing a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of liver fibrosis. |
