Description |
CD8+ T cells are important for protective immunity against antigen and/or inflammatory signals in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). However, high and sustained antigen and inflammatory stimulation during infection can lead to CD8+ T cell exhaustion. The clinical consequences of CD8+ T cell exhaustion in the development and prognosis of sepsis-induced ARDS are still unknown. The primary objective of this prospective observational study was to determine the relationship between CD8+ T cell exhaustion and the prognosis of ARDS induced by sepsis. |
