Title RNA Epitranscriptomic Modification Profile of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells Using Microarrays
Relevance Medical
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Homo sapiens
Description In recent decades, N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has become a hot topic in the scientific research field and provides novel approaches for the diagnosis and therapy of various diseases. However, neither the m6A modification profile nor the potential role it plays in the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) has been investigated to date. Here, we extracted total RNA from isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and performed an m6A epitranscriptomic microarray analysis to explore the m6A modification patterns in immune cells of T1DM patients. Our m6A epitranscriptomic profile will provide biological markers and putative immune targets for the diagnosis, treatment and eventual reversal of T1DM.
