Description |
The poor-quality spawn due to mycelial aging is a big problem that plagues Lentinula edodes mushroom industry in China. Mycelial aging has been associated with ROS-mediated autophagy in L. edodes. However, the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms remain obscure. This study aimed to elucidate the autophagic mechanisms involved in L. edodes mycelial aging. We induced aging in L. edodes mycelia through exogenous H2O2 treatment. Results showed that 100 μM H2O2 treatment for 24 h significantly inhibited mycelial growth. |
