Title Genome sequence of Atropa belladonna
Relevance Evolution
Data types Whole genome sequencing
Organisms Datura stramonium
Atropa belladonna
Description Atropa belladonna is a famous medicinal plant, which produces medicinal tropane alkaloids (mTAs), such as hyoscyamine and scopolamine. In this study, we present chromosome-level genomes of two representative mTAs-producing species: Atropa belladonna and Datura stramonium to explore the genome basis of the uneven distribution of mTAs in Solanaceae.
Sample scope Multispecies
