Title The active extra X chromosome drives germ cell aplasia in klinefelter syndrome fetuses
Relevance Medical
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Genome sequencing
Single cell sequencing
Organisms Homo sapiens
Description The primary pathological alteration in Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is germ cell loss. The alterations prior to loss and the molecular events in germ cells remain largely unknown. Through single-cell RNA sequencing of the gonads of KS and normal male fetuses, the phenotypes of KS fetal gonads and the molecular mechanisms were comprehensively investigated.
Sample scope Single cell
