Title Single-cell sequencing dissecting the metabolic and cell fate heterogeneity of proliferative stem cells during stomach regeneration
Relevance Medical
Data types Single cell sequencing
Organisms Mus musculus
Description Spasmolytic peptide expressing metaplasia arises from mature gastric chief cells dedifferentiating and re-entering the cell cycle following an evolutionarily conserved process termed paligenosis. We characterized single-cell transcriptomes of 11 samples following injury to the murine stomach to analyze mechanisms promoting paligenosis. Our high-resolution study increases our understanding of how metabolic and mitochondrial changes are necessary for stomach regeneration.
Sample scope Single cell
