Title Cecum transcriptome of the high and low H/L ratio SE-infected chickens at 7 and 21 dpi
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Gallus gallus
Description This project aimed to identify the differentially expressed, developmentally dynamic driver and hub genes associated with the resistance to Salmonella and correlated with factors such as the body weight post-infection, H/L ratio, bacterial load, propionate and valerate cecal contents, and Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, and Proteobacteria cecal relative abundance by combining data from the transcriptome and weighted gene co-expression network analysis of the cecum from chickens infected with Salmonella Enteritidis 7 and 21 days after infection.
