Title A Spatiotemporal Organ-Wide Gene Expression and Cell Atlas of the Developing maize kernel
Relevance Agricultural
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Raw sequence reads
Single cell sequencing
Organisms Zea mays
Description Maize endosperm is the major reservoir for starch and protein accumulation, whereas lipid storage is favored in embryo. How the assimilates partitioned into seed structures at filling stage involve a complex interplay of spatially specific gene expression. We took advantge of in-depth data mining of spatial transcriptomes coupled with the microscopic anatomy to explore the assimilate uptake and storage, and constructed an organ-wide atlas of gene regulatory network
Sample scope MAIZE SEEDS
