Description The innate immune system is the first defense against pathogenic invasion. Cell pyroptosis is not only an important mode of innate immune response, but also a vital way by which cytotoxic lymphocyte killing its target cells. It is of great important to reveal the mechanisms of recognition and response of the natural immune system, as well as the principle of cell pyroptosis. This project focuses on study of molecular mechanisms of downstream immune response activation by specific recognition of innate immune receptors to pathogenic molecular patterns, and on the other hand, we will explore the precise molecular mechanisms of cell pyroptosis in specific physiological and pathological processes. This study can help to investigate the new way of anti-infection, immune regulation and anti-inflammatory therapy.
