Bladder cancer has high mortality and recurrence rates, and existing therapies are unsatisfactory. To develop new treatments, a comprehensive understanding of the tumour immune microenvironment is urgent. To explore the heterogeneity of dendritic cells and assess their relevance in bladder cancer treatment, we generated a high-resolution immune atlas based on paired malignant and non-malignant tissues from 11 bladder cancer patients. Patients with or without neoadjuvant chemotherapy were recruited in our cohort. Our large-scale atlas will deepen the understanding of the bladder cancer immune microenvironment. We highlight the role of DCs in bladder cancer immunotherapeutic potential. |
