Our previous study has revealed that a bud mutant of yellow-fleshed Dongting loquat showed white flesh in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The flesh of the white-fleshed mutant material (TBW) is yellow-white, which is significantly different from the wild type (TBY) in fruit shape index, soluble solids content, flesh texture and maturity, and has great potential for breeding. In order to further explore the key genes regulating loquat fruit traits, we performed transcriptome sequencing on three key stages of fruit development and different organs of the two materials. |
