Lysine succinylation has emerged as a recently discovered protein modification that significantly impacts the chemical environment and exhibits diverse functions in various biological processes. However, the precise role of lysine succinylation in erythropoiesis remains to be fully elucidated. In this study, we evaluated succinylation levels during erythroid differentiation. We investigated the role of succinylation in erythropoiesis and found that decreased succinylation levels disrupt cell proliferation and differentiation, leading to apoptosis. Through mass spectrometry analysis, we identified a comprehensive list of succinylated proteins in early-stage and late-stage of terminal erythroid cells, uncovering the molecular mechanisms of succinylation regulation in erythropoiesis |
