Description |
To study the mtDNA mutations of male mouse intestine during aging, we used polymerase gamma (POLG) mutator mice and wild-type mice, and constructed male mice with four theoretically increasing levels of mtDNA mutations: negligible (WT/WT), low (WT/WT*), moderate (WT/Mut**) and high (Mut/Mut***). We seuqenced mtDNA of male mouse intestine at 3, 8 and 12 months. We also sequenced mtDNA of WT male mouse intestine at 20 months, and mtDNA of WT male mouse brain and liver at 3 and 8 months. |
