we used the Infinium MethylationEPIC array to capture DNAm levels at over than 850,000 CpG sites in two populations in Northwest China, and made the first effort in constructing the DNAm map of 92 Uyghurs and 33 Han Chinese samples. We also identified the highly-differentiated DNAm loci and regions between the Uyghurs and Han Chinese populations. We further corelated the level of genetic differentiation (such as Fst) and the level of DNAm differences in Uyghurs and Han Chinese populations and explored the regulation of DNAm by genetic variation to investigate the relationship between the genomic and epigenetic data at the global and local level. |
