Title Nine RNA-Seq samples of Silworm Midgut Exposed to Nickel
Relevance Environmental
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Bombyx mori
Description The deleterious impacts of nickel pollution are far-reaching, affecting multiple species and disrupting ecological cycles. In this study, we conducted an in-depth investigation into the adverse responses of silkworms' (Bombyx mori) digestive system to nickel exposure. Transcriptome sequencing was employed in the larval midgut, encompassing a total of nine samples in three groups of two nickel diet stress gradients (1.3g/kg and 5g/kg dietary exposure), with a meticulous examination of interconnected toxicological and tolerance mechanisms. Our findings highlight the adaptability of genes to nickel stress, emphasizing the inter-species distinctiveness and dose-dependent effects.
