Description |
The dynamics of both the structure and composition of hemicellulose of the lotus petiole during xylogenesis was studied by means of various analytical chemistry methods. The petiole of lotus was separated into the apical, middle and basal parts to represent the developmental stages of the xylogenesis as the new, the juvenile and the matured. To explain the differences in the hemicellulose features, transcriptomic data of the exterior of the petiole was collected. The expression level of related biosynthesis genes for hemicellulose was analyzed to support the analytical measurements of the hemicellulose extractions. |
