Organisms Nanorana parkeri
Description The Xizang plateau frog, Nanorana parkeri (Anura: Dicroglossidae), enters a state of metabolic depression to cope with cold winters. Cardiac and skeletal muscles perform important contractile functions in the body, but the effect of winter hibernation on metabolic profiling in these two tissues remains unknown. Here, we metabolomic analysis of myocardium and skeletal muscles from summer- and winter-collected N. parkeri.
