Description To investigate the important role of symbiosis-related LysM pattern-recognition receptors in root microbiota assembly, we conducted 16S rRNA sequencing of the root microbiota in both the wild type and various receptor-deficient mutants of Medicago truncatula. We used three mutants, each deficient in a specific receptor: NFP, responsible for LCO recognition; LYR4, and LYK9, both involved in CO recognition, respectively.
