Description |
Benign Childhood Epilepsy with Centro-temporal Spikes (BECTS) is the most common form of idiopathic epilepsy in children, accounting for up to 23% of pediatric epilepsy. The pathogenesis of BECTS is unknown, but it is thought that genetic factors play a role in susceptibility to the disease. To better characterize the genetic architecture of BECTS, a large two stage case-control GWAS was conducted in the Han Chinese population of 1800 BECTS cases. Further analysis of the genomic data is needed to identify the susceptibility variants of BECTs. |
