Title A Cattle BodyMap of Transcriptome across Tissues and Developmental Stages Deciphers Genetic Architecture of Production Traits in Beef Cattle
Relevance Model organism
Data types Transcriptome or Gene expression
Organisms Bos taurus
Description Our project involved creating a comprehensive transcriptomic BodyMap for cattle by analyzing gene expression, alternative splicing, and RNA editing across 46 and 49 organs of newborn and young cattle using 256 samples. We identified thousands of genes, novel long non-coding RNAs, alternative splicing events, and RNA-editing sites. By integrating different analyses with beef production and quality traits, we found insights into gene expression patterns and their associations with specific traits.
Sample scope Monoisolate
