Title A genome-wide expression profiling data of 81 rectal cancer patients with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy
Relevance Medical
Data types Whole Human Genome Microarrays
Organisms Homo sapiens
Description To explore whether gene expression profiles of primary rectal carcinomas could offer a specific gene signature that determine response to preoperative chemoradiotherapy, we conducted a study with eighty-one individuals with locally advanced rectal carcinomas to establish a molecular signature for response classification based on genome-wide mRNA expression analysis. Class-comparison statistics between good response patients (Tumor Regression Grade 1 and 2) and poor response patients (Tumor Regression Grade 4 and 5) were used to correlate the expression results with tumor regression grade after preoperative chemoradiotherapy.
