The commensal microbiota colonizes various tissues of the body, which is crucial for host metabolism, growth, development, and immunity. However, the research on microbial host immunity is not only lacking in large animal models, but the effects of commensal microbiota on immune tissues are limited at the molecular level. This is partially attributed to the lack of monitoring tools for tracking alterations within cell clusters in immune tissues associated with commensal microbiota. Here, we utilized single cell RNA sequencing to analyze containing 6 samples from germ free and specific pathogen free piglets Peyer patches PPs, mesenteric lymph nodes, and spleen, and the changes of immune cells after commensal microbiota colonization were investigated. |
