Single-cell RNA sequencing of CSF cells was performed on two patients with uncharacterized autoimmune astrocytopathy. Following the identification of the putative target antigen, a comprehensive screening was performed to identify additional patients with the same autoantibody. Additional 13 individuals with other autoimmune CNS disorders were included for precise cell clustering, including neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD, n=3), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOGAD, n=4), anti-N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor encephalitis (NMDARE, n=2), multiple sclerosis (n=3), and immune-mediated cerebellar ataxia (n=1). |
