Description |
Male and female BALB/c mice (6-8 weeks old) were mated at a ratio of 1:2 overnight, and the vaginal plugs were checked the next morning. Pregnant mice were randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 8-9 per group) based on body weight. Two groups were treated with polystyrene microplastics via intragastric gavage from gestational day (GD) 4.5 through 17.5. The control group was treated with sterile water. On GD 18.5, all dams were weighted and sacrificed. The placentas were collected, weighted and used for omics analysis. |
