Intrauterine adhesion (IUA) is one of the common gynecological diseases leading to infertility. Depart from hysteroscopic surgery, oral agents could be advantageous choice in terms of convenience for patients. Compared to Western medicine (WM) such as estrogen, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has fewer side effects and is increasingly chosen by women with gynecological disorders. However, the effect of TCM and WM on vaginal microbiota of IUA patients remains to be researched. In this study, a rat model of IUA performed by curettage was established, and respectively treated by estrogen and Yangmo decoction. We compared the differences of vaginal microbial composition in IUA rats and healthy rats and aimed to figure out the effect of Yangmo decoction and estrogen on vaginal microbiota for IUA rats. |
