Lipid droplets are important organelles that regulate cellular energy homeostasis and are involved in various biological processes such as lipid synthesis, storage, breakdown, and transport. The dynamic changes in cellular lipids are closely related to lipid droplets, thus, this project aims to investigate the dynamic regulation of lipid droplets. According to the research content outlined in the task description and research plan, during the course of the study, lipid droplet samples will be sourced from cultured C2C12 cells. These samples will undergo enrichment of small molecular weight proteins on lipid droplets through density gradient centrifugation and biochemical techniques, followed by proteomic analysis. The collected data will be matched to the noncoding database using Proteome Discovery to gather new protein information associated with lipid droplets. |
